Throughout my working life, I can't remember how many times I've failed to deliver and have doubts on myself. As a marketing executive, it is my responsibility to come up with strategy that work. However, manyatimes it doesn't work. Everytime the strategy fail, I tell myself I just found out one more strategy that is not applicable. There is a chinese saying that goes, "Failure, it is the mother to success!" Many successful entrepreneurs gone through failure. To them, failure are just lessons to guide them to the right channel. Everytime you have doubt in yourself when you fail, don't be afraid.. It is just another discovery what don't work... The sun will still rise tomorrow.. SMILE

Action versus Vision
There was a phrase said by my lecturer during my evening classes that stuck in my brain. I want to share this with all of you....
Vision without action is DAYDREAM...
Action without Vision is NIGHTMARE
Whether you are daydreaming or you are having nightmare, both are undesired activity. Combined Vision with Action and you'll live your dream!

Are you perfect?
In Japanese flower arranging, it is common that one of the branches in the arrangement is bent or broken. It is to signify that the arranger has attempted to present the flowers in a "natural state". It is the "imperfection" of the broken branch that make it "perfect", or closer to what naturally is.
Each one of us, no matter how evolved we might believe ourselve to be, has imperfections and personal ego attachments. These imperfections and attachments are not something to be overcome or transcended, but rather something to be understood, appreciated and accepted. Embrace who you are wholeheartedly...

Have you overcome your challenges yet?
I was given many opportunities by my General Manager through different projects. Initially, I've doubts regarding myself and whether I can deliver especially when I've evening classes to attend for my part time degree. As I go along with my tasks on hand and breakdown my projects into smaller components, I gain momentum and keep my engine going. Now facing with different deadlines, I look at my boss and smile. I know it can be done. Is all about time management and prioritising my projects. Just as what I had shared on my previous posts about stopping procrastination. Following step 1 to 4 helps me to overcome my challenges. Have you overcome your challenges yet?

Remove Negative energy, Activate Positive energy!
Positive energy reciprocate positive results. Don't let negative energy eat you up! Most of us start our day with worries and dread and end the day with sighs and regrets. Stop it!
Positive thoughts is all about your perspectives in life. So what if someone broke your heart, you got fired, lost your savings or didn't do well in your own business. You are still way better off to those earthquake victims who lost their limbs, home and family.
Remember, Negative energy brings you down and Positive energy lifts you up!
When you experience rejection, repeat the phrase below.
SW, SW, SW, SW (Some Will, Some Won't, So What?, Somebody's Waiting!)

Never give up!
I had a hard time these past two weeks as it was my examination period. Working full time and studying part time for a degree is definitely not a bed of roses. It was tough and at times I wanna give up so much. I've finished my last paper today for my second year and the taste of completing the exams and not giving up never felt so good! I may not know how well have I done but the fact that I pulled through showed that as long as one does not give up and perseveres, nothing is impossible!
On the topic of nothing being impossible, getting prospects may seem impossible if you have negative belief in yourself. We are conducting a BOM this wednesday and I've witnessed how people kept calling to invite guests, got rejected and kept trying till they successfully invited guests to attend.
It made me realise, if you never give up, everything is possible... It all depends on how much you want to make it happen. Remember, never give up!

Stop Procrastination TODAY!
Procrastination is a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. It may seem fairly harmless - "I'll start calling my prospects tomorrow", "I'll do my BOM next week", "I'll attend the trainin next month" Soon, it becomes a habit, a lazy attitude detrimental to improving your life.
Be a WINNER !!
Before you know it, your business has failed miserably and you want to give up. Make no mistake, procrastination is a disease that will eat into your life, dampening your ambition and desire for SUCCESS!
End procrastination TODAY with these simple steps...
1.) The most crucial tip - do it now!
In order to break the habit of procrastination, replace it with an attitude of urgency. Practise working on whatever comes your way. Come up with a daily list and keep ticking off your To-do-List one by one. Make steady progress.
2.) Try it today - Prioritise your tasks
Whatever comes your way, a project, an email, an errand, a prospect request, consider which is more important and work on them, one by one. You'll become more efficient in no time, not to mention how relieved you will be at the amount of work you got done.
3.) Break down bigger tasks into smaller tasks
When attempting to end procrastination, it helps to break down the bigger jobs into smaller, more manageable tasks. Don't let big projects overwhelm you; take it one step at a time. As long as you are making steady progress, it is a good start!
4.) Ask for help!
We sometimes make the mistake of assuming we have to do everything ourselves. Your reasons may be to save money, to be self-reliant, to make sure everything goes your way and so on, but contracting some work out could actually make more sense in the long-term. The fastest way to get help is to get friends or family members to assist.
Start doing the above and STOP Procrastination TODAY!
Be a WINNER !!

Indians, Chinese top world’s rich list
INDIA and China have the world’s fastest-growing populations of millionaires, with a penchant for luxury travel, gems and designer clothes, a study released yesterday revealed. The number of Indian millionaires jumped 22.7 per cent last year to 123,000, followed by China where the number jumped 20.3 per cent to 415,000, said the 12th annual World Wealth Report, prepared by US investment bank Merrill Lynch and information technology group Capgemini.“In the Asia-Pacific region, wealth is being created at an unprecedented rate,”said Mr Kong Eng Huat, South Asia market managing director at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management.“Not withstanding the recent dislocation in global markets, the robust economies in Asia are increasingly being driven by the domestic consumption story and continue to spur wealth creation in the region.”The report said China surpassed France as the world’s fifth-largest population of high net worth individuals, people with net assets of at least US$1 million excluding their primary residence. Also among the fastest-growing were South Korea, where the millionaire population rose by 18.9 per cent to 118,000, and Indonesia, which saw a 16.8 per cent rise to 23,000, the report said. Singapore saw a 15.3 per cent rise to 77,000 millionaires, it added. Despite financial turmoil and significant increases in the price of luxury goods, the report said the world’s millionaires have an“unquenchable appetite” for luxury items. Jewellery, gems and watches attracted the largest share of these “passion investment allocations” in Asia and the MiddleEast, the report said. Globally, these high-priced toys tend to be art collections, yachts, personal jets and similar items, the report added. But there are regional differences, with Asia’s millionaires allocating the most to items such as luxury and “experiential”travel, visits to high-end spas and designer clothes. — AFP

Being a marketing executive, I was given a chance to travel in the course of my work. Business trips certainly added a brand new experience to me in terms of travelling! My previous holiday trips only allowed me to see what the tour guide wanted me to see. If I would to describe my trips as a cake, then the tour guide only showed me the surface which were the beautiful decorations. Business trips showed me the deeper level of the cake. It gave me the insight of how the cake was baked and what ingredients were used.
I was given the opportunity to visit India, Bangalore on a business trip. Capital of the Southern state of Karnataka. Bangalore is Asia's fastest growing cosmopolitan city. It is home to some of the most high tech industries in India. A new airport was built in Bangalore to welcome more visitors. I was one of the lucky few who get to enjoy the facilities when SIA landed at the newly opened Bangalore Airport. Free mineral waters were placed on the table for the passengers waiting at the belt to recover their luggage. Upon stepping out of the airport, cool weather welcome me.
The days that followed during my visit widened my horizon of insights in India. People over there are passionate about upgrading themselves. Their minds worked fast and constantly reviewed what worked best for them. They were not afraid to voice their opinions and provided suggestions that can be pretty outrageous! You would certainly be amazed if you were not used to such open "cross fire" kinds of discussion. Besides work, I got to catch a movie during my last day of the visit. I was greeted by the beautiful interior design at the cinema. At that moment, all the negative stories I heard about India never crossed my mind. In fact, I felt I was in one of the shopping centres in Singapore!
Do not be frightened by things you have heard about India. Go see for yourself. As of March 2008, there are 1.13 billion people in India. No doubt India is still a developing country. However, India is also the country that has the most billionaires! It is indeed a land of possibilities! If you have the courage and the persistence, anything can happen! Who knows, you might be the next billionaire in India!
